This policy explains what data Perspecting (operator of the Cortexa product line, including Cortexa Ads and Cortexa Create) collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to mean what it says. References to "we"/"us" mean Perspecting.
What we collect
- Account data: email and (optionally) display name.
- Uploaded creatives: images and videos you upload to run predictions. Stored in encrypted Supabase Storage, scoped to your user ID by row-level security.
- Prediction outputs: the model's predictions, your reported actual outcomes (if any), and the brain-probe features extracted from your creatives.
- Product analytics: page views, clicks, uploads, predictions — the events listed in our internal taxonomy. Used to improve the product. IP addresses are stored as a salted SHA-256 hash, never in raw form.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
How we use it
To operate and improve the product, to bill you, and — only with your consent — to train our prediction model. The "Use my data to improve the model" toggle is default-ON for the free tier (as the explicit trade for the free comparisons) and default-OFF for all paid tiers. You can change it any time in Account → Settings. Opting out applies prospectively; data already used in a trained model checkpoint cannot be retroactively excluded from that checkpoint, but it will not be re-used.
How long we keep it
- Uploaded creatives are deleted 90 days after upload by default.
- You can delete individual creatives, comparisons, or your entire account at any time.
- Aggregated analytics (counts, accuracy rollups) are retained indefinitely in non-identifying form.
Who else sees it
Subprocessors: Supabase (database, auth, storage), Stripe (billing), HuggingFace (inference compute), Vercel (hosting and edge). Each is bound by its own data-processing terms. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertising networks.
Your rights
You may request export or deletion of your data at any time by writing to privacy@perspecting.com. Residents of the EU/UK have rights under GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction). Residents of California have rights under CCPA.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 16. If we learn we have collected data from a child, we will delete it.
